Description
Splined rivet nut Inserts are a good solution for adding an access panel or custom armor protection to a sheet metal structure where the nut is difficult to access. This kit contains the items needed to fasten a custom panel with 5/16”-18 x .625” stainless steel counter sunk bolts, rivet nut inserts and a tool to install them.
- Sold in a pack of 10 with one assembly tool.
- The Nut Inserts are Intended for use with sheet metal 0.027 – 0.150
Recommended tools
- 17/32″ Drill.
- 3/16″ Hex key.
- 5/8″ Wrench.
Installation Notes
Insert the threaded insert firmly in the 17/32″ hole and tighten the bolt, making sure not to spin the insert in the body while tightening. An alternative method is to purchase a rivet nut installation tool Astro Tools part #1442.
